The Future of Goggles

These Recon Instrument goggles are the new era in snowboard technology. To start the goggles have a LCD Display which is shown below your right eye. What does that mean? This means that the options for a dashboard are displayed 6 ft in front of your eyes below your vision. So viewing the options is similar to glancing down at the speedometer while driving a car. There are buttons to navigate the display located on the side of the goggles, which are glove friendly. You can choose from options such as your current speed (I love this), your altitude(so you know how much air you got), fastest run (no more lying), and you can drop a location marker which you can view later on a map (to locate secret spots later). These goggles also come with a GPS so you dont get lost, and polarized photochromic lens which become darker or lighter depending on the sunlight. When you are done boarding you can then plug your goggle into you computer and upload all this information, you can have maps of resorts you just rode, layout of all the tracks you were on and you can even create your own point of view videos (view video below). These goggles rock, and they are soon to hit the market in 2011.
  • GPS
  • wireless point of view camera
  • Show real time speed
  • Show latitude, altitude, vertical distance traveled, total distance traveled
  • Chronograph/ Stopwatch
  • Shows Temperature
  • View and control your music
  • Gyroscope

  • USB Capable
  • LCD Display

Nutritious and Beautiful

Art comes in many forms, sometimes fine art in beautiful displays in museums around the country or found in the streets in downtown LA, San Francisco or New York. Even web designs for websites and graphic artists make their mark in this digital age we live in. Then there comes along this fellow who's preferred medium of choice is bananas. Yes you've read that right, bananas. The amazing thing about his strange choice of art form is that everything he creates is absolutely amazing and filled with detail down tot he teeth of the faces he carves. If you don't believe me then check out all the amazing pieces he's done from another website that's always fresh, Kotaku

Machinarium

Something that has consumed much of my free time lately: a "flash" game called Machinarium.  If anyone remembers the game "putt-putt" as a kid, this is like a grown up version with difficult puzzles, challenging situations, and brain teasers.  If you really want to test yourself, try this game out.  You're sure to have a fun time while learning a little something.

10,000 Free Round-Trip Tickets to Japan!

Have you ever wondered about going to Japan? Most people can't even imagine about traveling there after the devastating earthquake last year. Many still have fears of the radiation that may linger on the island still. Japan Tourism Agency has seen the impact that it has had on tourism going on throughout the country.

To resolve this, the agency is trying to get lawmakers to fund for 10,000 free round-trip tickets to give to travelers. What's the catch? They just want you to publicize your trips on Blogs and various social media sources. They're trying to spark tourism again! They will try to allow visitors to start signing up as early as April of next year! Keep it in mind!

Business Advice for your Royal Stash from LRG's Jonas Bevacqua R.I.P.

Jonas Bevacqua, the co-founder and creative director of popular urban clothing company LRG, was found dead in his California home today. He was 34.
LRG was favored by ambassadors of hip hop culture like Kanye West, Cee Lo, Young Jeezy and The Roots.
In an interview with Hypebeast earlier this month, Bevacqua discussed his advice for upstarts fashion brands:
My advice to any upstart brand… is to have a partner with a lot of money, but make sure it’s smart, vested-interest money. There’s a big difference between smart money and regular money. I was lucky enough to have two business-savvy math whiz kids as partners. Know your part – if you’re the creative guy then be the creative guy, if you’re the business guy then be that guy. A lot of times people try to wear all the hats and end up doing nothing at all because they take on too many projects and nothing gets finished. Part of growing is delegating. Keep it fun. If you have to call it work then you probably shouldn’t be doing it. Don’t take it so serious, fashion is an expression. It’s an art, it’s a reflection of how you feel, it’s supposed to be fun. We’re not curing cancer, even though that would be nice. Most importantly always stay inspired or else you can get bored very easily. I’m constantly looking for new hobbies and interests to stay inspired. Source

Hitting the Slopes in a WHOLE NEW WORLD!

This is for all the Kings and Queens who want to hit up the slopes in a whole new world! This whole new world is called Skipark 360 in Stockholm, Sweden. Designed by C.F. Moller, "this man made ski hill will have a vertical drop of some 160 meters (525 feet), 3.5 km long skiing tunnel, an arena for ice hockey, figure skating and the like, a snow park, a resort, and a spa." What's even crazier is how it will be powered. Skipark 360 will be a “green” ski resort and since it's a "green" resort, it's going to be powered by renewable energy resources like geothermal, solar, wind and hydropower. Sounds super innovating and fresh, making it perfect for Kings and Queens that are looking for new adventures in style! So mark this destination and it to your Royalstash.
